Microscopy and Microanalysis Certificate
Program Description
The certificate in Microscopy and Microanalysis will prepare students enrolled in science and engineering majors for careers studying biologic and/or inorganic materials at the microscopic level. Graduates of the program will be proficient in microscopic analysis of specimen's structure as well as the characterization of their microscopic composition.
Program Learning Outcomes
- Utilize light and electron microscopy to image the microstructure of biological and inorganic materials
- Utilize microanalysis techniques to characterize the composition of biological and inorganic materials
- Independently design and conduct microscopy and microanalysis experiments
