Technical Accounting, Associate
Program Description
This program is designed for those who desire a working knowledge of accounting in order to obtain an entry-level position in an accounting-related field or continue their accounting education. In addition to providing a solid foundation in accounting principles and practices, the program exposes students to the fundamentals of economics, finance, business law and business communication. This program is transferable into the four-year accounting bachelor program.
Program Learning Outcomes
- Accounting Principles – Apply generally accepted accounting principles to record and report accounting information relevant to internal and external users.
- Communication – Apply oral and written communication skills appropriate for a business environment.
- Taxation – Apply the individual income tax laws of the Internal Revenue Code.
