Program Description

The associate in Mathematics equips students with a solid foundation in mathematical principles, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. This program is designed to prepare graduates for seamless transfer to a bachelor's degree program in mathematics or related fields, while also providing the skills needed to pursue entry-level careers in industries that value quantitative expertise.

With a strong emphasis on calculus, mathematical reasoning, and logic, the program ensures students are well-prepared to advance their studies in mathematics, engineering, computer science, or other STEM disciplines. Whether continuing education or entering the workforce, graduates will be ready to excel in roles that require analytical and mathematical proficiency. 

Program Learning Outcomes

• Demonstrate the ability to articulate mathematical ideas clearly in both written and oral formats, tailoring communication to academic, professional or practical context. 
• Employ symbolic, analytical, and quantitative methods to evaluate problems, propose solutions, and construct clear, logical arguments, including introductory proofs where appropriate.
• Use computational tools, analyze data, identify patterns, and develop models to address real-world and theoretical problems in mathematics and related fields.
